For school groups, family reunions, or corporate team-building days, the Zoo is the Triad's go-to full-day outing. The approach on Zoo Parkway has no alternative routes, which means peak-day arrivals stack up on a single two-lane road; arriving at opening (9 a.m.) by charter bus bypasses the peak-hour backup entirely.
The Zoo's main parking area accommodates buses with a designated bus lot near the North America entrance. Undercarriage storage on full-size charter buses handles coolers, strollers, and the gear a full school group or large family brings without cramming it into the cabin. For school trips, the Zoo's group rates require advance reservation — we recommend coordinating bus and Zoo scheduling together.
